Chalet Macondo Ouareau is a cozy forest retreat by the Forêt Ouareau, with a year-round hot tub, lake views, and full tranquility. Perfect for families and friends seeking comfort, nature, and quality time. Relax by the firepit after skiing or hiking. We’re close to La Réserve (15 min), Val Saint-Côme and Garceau (20 min), and Mont-Calme (25 min). Optional Carbon Offset We partner with Carbone Boréal so guests can voluntarily offset the environmental impact of their stay.

Pet policy: We’re happy to welcome dogs! Our policy allows dogs under 60 lbs each. Dogs must be house-trained, clean, and kept off the beds and furniture. An additional $75 pet fee applies per stay. If extra cleaning is required due to pet hair, waste, or damage, an extra fee may be charged. Thank you for helping us keep the chalet comfortable for all guests!

Macondo Ouareau is nestled in a peaceful forested area near Saint-Donat, next to the Forêt Ouareau Regional Park, one of the most beautiful outdoor destinations in the Lanaudière region. Surrounded by lakes, hiking trails, and nature reserves, the neighbourhood offers a perfect balance between outdoor adventure and quiet retreat. In winter, the area is especially attractive, with four ski resorts located between 15 and 25 minutes away, making it an ideal base for ski days followed by cozy evenings by the fire or in the hot tub. Throughout the year, guests can enjoy easy access to nature while remaining a short drive from the shops, cafés, and restaurants of Saint-Donat.

Roads are well maintained year-round, and winter tires are recommended during the winter season.
